On May 3rd, 2008, the Clay Alliance of Greater Cincinnati presented its eighth annual Spring Pottery Fair on the grounds of the historic Rookwood Pottery in Mt. Adams. The Spring Pottery Fair is a combination of more than 50 local clay artisans exhibiting and selling their unique ceramic creations. The artisans are members of the Clay Alliance of Cincinnati, a non-profit group dedicated to fostering the development of local clay artisans, as well as the ceramics craft.

The Clay Alliance is a mix of locally, regionally, nationally and internationally-known potters. Art enthusiasts can choose from a wide range of pottery styles from functional wares to decorative art pieces, glazed in a palette of colors that are vivid and lively or subtle and earthy.  There truly is something for everyone at this show.
In addition to promoting clay awareness, the Clay Alliance is dedicated to supporting the community. Each year, Clay Alliance members donate handcrafted bowls for "Empty Bowls," a unique fundraiser for Kid's Café, a group that fights hunger by serving meals to children living in poverty neighborhoods.
